Egypt

The distant sand dunes bear witness to a mighty kingdom,
Where Sphinx spoke to Tiresias - the words of wisdom.
The pyramids remind one of the ancient strifes,
Today pharaohs are asleep waiting for their next lives.

The richly gilded sarcophagus embalms Nefertiti,
Queen of hearts, she is a symbol of passion and beauty...
Softly whispering in her dreams of the unrequited love,
While the Nile's blue reflects the fleecy clouds above.

I shall try

I shall try to put on a smile,
And be good without any guile.

To adjust myself, I shall try –
So that ev’n in dreams I don’t fly.

I shall try to turn other cheek,
When hit hard by one for being meek.

I shall try hard to myself bless,
While drowning in a sea no less.

I shall try not a bird to be,
One who can easily break free!

Satisfied in the cage call’d life,
Where millions easily thrive…

A short peek

The sun welcomes me with its ray
When I blossom bright red and gay.
Then I venture to take a peek,
A friend among the girls to seek...
They twitter in the class nearby
Like birds opening wings in sky.
My life is confined to a day,
Yet I always blossom and pray,
May I bring joy to everyone
And offer myself till I'm done.
